This is my favorite sport. I have been regularly playing football since I was a child.
It is a source of celebration, joy, friendship, relaxation and self-transcendence for the benefit of the team. I find in this sport the very structure of the celestial bodies on which the world rests. If this sport has become the most popular on the planet, it is because it goes beyond the simple purpose of kicking a goal.
Football involves a collective strategy, team spirit, mutual help and solidarity. The winning team is the most cohesive team. It also involves self-transcendence. An effort must be made to maximize your physical abilities to the fullest extent possible. Technical ability, expertise, control of the ball differentiates between people who have good movement and conduct. The stadium is a place of celebration, reunion, sharing.
The stadium attracts crowds from all over the world. Spectators are the people: young or old, rich or poor, celebrities or regular people, black or white, there is no limit to the love of this sport. It affects everyone.
I love being a part of my team’s success. I play as a right midfielder or attacking midfielder depending on the situation. I ignore the financial aspects that contaminate the popular sport because I just want to see the simplicity and beauty of the games and game stages. I hardly watch games on TV and prefer playing. I am loyal to my small group of friends in Jerusalem who meet every Tuesday evening and Friday afternoon for a friendly game.
Football is an exceptional school for management. The sport covers the basics of leadership where everyone must know their role and find their place: quick decision making, selecting players and positions, team organization, emotional capacity needed to win or not let results negatively affect motivation, sophisticated creativity required to identify the smartest way to score a goal and the knowledge related to movements, aspect and visuals needed to win. Football has barely existed for 100 years but has captured an unprecedented role in human life. Furthermore, this sport will participate in unifying the world through various competitions that evoke emotion and pleasure all over the world.
In 2019, I founded the Jerusalem Football Club with my loyal friend Daniel Yishai. The establishment of the club was an opportunity to relay my passion to a larger number of people and why not establish a club with an international dimension in the coming years …
